It’s a New Year. And it’s time to make New Resolutions (and renew old ones). One of my renewed resolutions is to read the Bible through in 2009. And this year instead of “goin’ it alone”, I thought I’d invite anyone who is interested to join me! Posting each day will give me accountability, and sharing in the online discussion can sharpen and benefit us all!
The plan is simple: Each day I’ll post a link to the daily reading from the One Year Tract Bible Reading Plan from the ESV Online Bible. This plan is based on the M’Cheyne reading system. By the end of the year we will read the Old Testament once and the New Testament and the Psalms twice.
Are you interested? Just read today’s daily reading and join in on the online discussion in the comment section! We can all benefit from our time alone with the Lord in His Word, and then we can share what we have learned!
Oh – and feel free to join in at anytime! Even if you missed out on the readings at the beginning of the year, you can start with today’s reading, and in a year’s time you will have read the Bible through! (My 82 year old grandma just read the Bible through for the 26th time!)
May the Lord grant us all the grace to hunger and thirst for His Word!
